TOP 8 THINGS TO DO AFTER INSTALLING LINUX MINT 18

This post is about Top 8 Things to do after Installing Linux Mint 18

Basically, this blog is an explanation of my youtube video.

When you install Linux Mint you have to check or install following things.

1. Check for any updates from Update Manager, Do it ones a week, to be up to date

2. Check for any drivers for example: Video card drivers, new device drivers.

3. Download Extra Browser, example (Google Chrome, Opera and others) Google Chrome Link : https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/

4. Installing Dropbox You can find in the Software Manager

5. Any kind of text editor in this I installed BlueFish from Software Manager

6. Install Java JDK JRE for this I did a post how to install Java JDK on my blog. http://www.linuxgeek0.com/2018/01/how-to-install-java-jdk-on-linux-using.html

7. Install Ubuntu-restricted-extras. This program includes Multimedia codecs.

8. In final step I just added more programs to install Kazam, Cheese, kdenlive, and so many programs you can find on Software Manager
